Our Instructors

	Master Frank DiMatteo Master DiMatteo has over 40 years experience in the Martial Arts and recently achieved the rank of 7th Dan. Master DiMatteo specializes in the arts of traditional Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. Master DiMatteo is from Pittsburgh and travels to Maryland to conduct quarterly student testing, and special weapons seminars at several of our locations.
	Master Mark Malakoff Master Malakoff has over 30 years experience in the Martial Arts and holds the rank of 4th Dan, specializing in the arts of traditional Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. Master Malakoff has been teaching in this area for over 19 years and began his training at the age of 15 in Pittsburgh, PA under the instruction of Master DiMatteo. He is dedicated to creating a positive environment for children and adults alike; helping students to gain self confidence and develop their self esteem while having fun learning the martial arts.
	Mary Ann Malakoff Mrs. Malakoff is the Owner of Kang's Black Belt Academy. She has obtained the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt and is an instructor of all the Lil' Dragon classes as well as beginner and intermediate Tae Kwon Do classes.
	Mr. Brian Weiss Mr. Weiss is a 3rd degree black belt who has trained personally under Master Malakoff for over 15 years. He is a dedicated instructor with years of experience which is reflected in his patience and knowledge when teaching our students. A true Asset! Mr. Weiss teaches mainly at the Olney branch, and also helps instruct at the JCC in Rockville.
	Mr. Leonard Jackson Mr. Jackson has trained under Master DiMatteo and Master Malakoff for over 20 years and holds the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt. Mr. Jackson teaches mainly at the JCC in Rockville, and also assists at our Olney branch.
	Brent Tucker Brent Tucker is a 1st degree black belt who has trained personally under Master Malakoff for 16 years. He assists with Tae Kwon Do classes at all levels.
	Val Bloomberg Mr. Bloomberg is a 1st degree black belt who has trained personally under Master Malakoff for over 6 years. He assists with Lil Dragons and Tae Kwon Do classes at all levels.
